WHY ARE CROSSFIT GYMS CALLED A BOX?

A CrossFit gym is commonly referred to as a Box, mostly because they look like a box. They tend to be large warehouse like spaces that only contain the equipment needed for CrossFit workouts. Simple as that really. Plus, it's easier to just say 'box' than CrossFit gym all the time.
